Product description:
The MF001 is an in-line microfilter designed for use between existing PSTN devices (such as telephones and fax machines) and the telephone line.

The microfilter enables these devices to continue to function normally over a combined ADSL & telephone line.

An ADSL Microfilter (for self-install) is required for all non-ADSL devices (e.g. telephone, fax) when the customer does not get a splitter installed.

One filter is needed for every item of non-ADSL equipment such as phones, fax, caller display unit, modem, Sky digital decoder, or set-top box with integral modem.
Up to 5 filters can be used on a single telephone line.

If you want to plug non-ADSL equipment into the same jackpoint as your ADSL modem, you will need to purchase a double adapter.

Do not connect this filter to your ADSL modem. Your ADSL modem will connect directly to any telephone jackpoint.

Connect filters BEFORE your ADSL service has been supplied to you. If you wait until after your ADSL service has been supplied, you may experience
noise disruption.

IMPORTANT. Use of line filters is not recommended for customers:
Wishing to listen to distant AM broadcast (550 to 1600 kHz), although they will be satisfactory for reception of local and national stations in Main Cities. The risk of interference increases outside these centres.
Having a security alarm and/or medical callers installed that automatically call a selected number when activated.
Having to connect more than 5 non-ADSL equipment.

If any of the above applies, you are advised to arrange with your ADSL installer for a SPLITTER to be installed at your premises.
